Green Mountain Grape is a 90% Sativa hybrid, containing purple landrace genetics from Oaxaca and Nepal, selectively bred by Vermontman to be one of the fastest Sativa's for the outdoor north.
The fragrance is overwhelmingly mouth watering grape juice, watermelon, cherry, and berry fruit stripe gum. Her fragrance is very pronounced from mid flower to harvest.
Indoors this strain grows best under red/blue spectrum LED grow lights (such as Galaxyhydro). The buds fatten up along the whole stem forming long solid purple/blue/silver spear shaped colas. The tightly packed calyxes are laden with glistening trichomes that develop fast. Bud colours mirror the tones of a Blue Spruce tree. This is an attractive plant with blueish/purple leaves and wine red to purple black veining running throughout the strong self-supporting stems. Under HID or white LED the coloration is less pronounced, but still of superior quality.
Green Mountain Grape is also spectacular for outdoor up to 50°N. Coming in amazingly fast from the end of August to mid September. The bud coloration is, however, less intense than her indoor counterpart. For outdoor growing it's best to start the plants indoors, or to plant the seeds after threat of frost. G.M.G. benefits from larger containers, or growing directly in the ground with lots of organic amendments. You can also create raised beds or open the containers to the ground for abundant root space.
Green Mountain Grape really shines because of her dense bud formation, often with fuchsia pistils and frosty green/purple flowers, with a 'knock you over' fruity stripe gum fragrance. The biggest benefit to growing G.M.G. outdoors is that she ripens with the intensity of the August sunshine really bumping up her quality, making Green Mountain Grape another amazing outdoor addition.
Like her Purple Satellite mother the daytime high is invigorating, creative, social, upbeat with a bit of a more happy sense of well being. Perfect for easing depression.

The season has come to a final end here in western New York. Out of three large Green Mountain Grape plants I grew out, two were very good, one was some of the finest sativa I've grown in years. There is a purple variation that was extremely thick and resinous compared to the other two but I was very proud of all of them. Here are some pictures of the massive buds. It's an awesome almost pure sativa, very reminiscent of the old Oaxacan and Michoacan I would get in the late seventies. Great grow for this part of the country. Thank you!
So far so good!
10 outta 10 germ,
Can't wait till harvest!!
I bought Green Grape because of its earliness and wanted to be reminded of the unique Mexican Sativa's that I experienced in the 1970's. Buds were done with complete maturity by September in New England. No mildew or bud rot. Thank you, Mandala.
